Harry and Gladys are needle felted with a wire armature. Gladys is clutching her purse but is enjoying the ride. I hand dyed the wool roving. The motorcycle and side car were found items. There is a wooden base to the piece. This piece is for sale.

This hooked rug was a challage as I wanted to create a piece where there was movement within the circles and then again within the total piece. I enjoyed dyeing the wool using a color wheel as the basis for the color plan. The foundation is linen.

PRODDY RUG
Proddy is a rug hooking technique that is very popular in England. This rug is wonderfully dense with the wool material used. The foundation is linen and the edges are bound with yarn. Shades of gray and a bit of red make up the color plan. The rug is for sale: $285.

The Girls, rug hooked
THE GIRLS
This rug hooked piece is taken from a photo of my frineds, in our younger days of course. I used the usual wool that I dyed but I also used yarn, roving made into flowers for the hats, pearls and beads, fabric and other not traditional (hooking) materials. It was great fun to do. This piece in not for sale.

Rug hooked NEPTUNE
This rug hooked piece is part of the Mythology Series. Medusa was the first and Neptune will be followed by Bacchus (still in the planning stage) This is not for sale at this time.

Calypso is a hooked rug made with hand dyed wool and edged with hand dyed wool yarn. The rug features vibrant colors and the textures with tone on tone stars in the background. The flower pot is needle felted using wool roving.
This unique rug was hooked using antique paisley fabric for part of the flowers. It is hooked on a linen foundation. The rug has fabric sleaves on the back and wooden rods so it can be easily hung.
This rug was featured in a one person show at the Weavers Guild of Greater Cincinnati in December 2008. Designed by Melessa Elliott.
